FES equipment at Saville

From Louise Miller of SCITCS (11 May 2012):

“Hi All,

What an achievement. An overnight success that has taken 22 years.

SCITCS placed the first FES exercise equipment in the Steadward Centre in 1991.

In 2012, SCITCS purchased FES exercise equipment ($49,000) that has been placed in a community setting (the Saville Centre); this allows people with SCI and other neurological impairments the opportunity to exercise alongside everyone else in an inclusive setting.

It has been a long and challenging journey but worth every minute.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed their time, their knowledge and even a PhD research study to getting us to where we are today.
